Healing Through Faith, Hope and Love
What keeps me motivated, inspired and sustained in helping others is my own ongoing pursuit of wholeness and experience of God’s comfort in the midst of affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-7). In any walk of life, it is generally the case that we can’t lead others father than we have gone ourselves. I want my clients to know that my commitment to the counseling process and the transformative potential of counseling begins with my own pursuit of growth, healing and holiness. As I seek to help my clients grow through faith, hope and love, I seek to be one who likewise lives by faith, hope and love.
My special counseling focus is helping those who have endured spiritual abuse and suffer from religious trauma. Whatever form that took—whether fundamentalist upbringing, spiritually abusive responses to reports of domestic/physical/sexual/emotional/financial abuse, being pushed out or fired by toxic leaders, and many others—it is an honor to walk alongside clients in need of healing from this unique pain.
